This week’s Local Eyes is from SWISS and TREE, a beautiful love story that will wrap you up in the warmth of their love. Two acclaimed Artists who have joined forces to honour that journey together, after strongly supporting each other through their individual Artistic journeys. – honouring the past, celebrating the present and being grateful for the future.
‘Emergencies‘ is taken from a six track EP The ‘MR & MRS’ EP. This project is a testimony to love for each other and their passion for music and creative abilities both individually and together. It also features both hit singles ‘Me And You’ and ‘Even If’.
Tree also leads the nominations, with six, at this year’s Pacific Music Awards. Her self-produced debut album Mrs Tree, she has been nominated for Auckland Council Best Pacific Female Artist, SunPix Best Pacific Language, NZ On Air Best Pacific Music Video for ‘Afio Ane Loa’, and Recorded Music NZ Best Pacific Music Album.
From Polynesian-Reggae to R&B, to Urban Soul this EP is a masterpiece! The music is Made with the help of an amazing team at BLK Entertainment, DRM NZ. The Production Blessed with the gifted hands of Sioeli Manu, Tree Manu, Albert Cook, Jireh Falaniko, Nafu Tofilau, Michael Hansen from Fejoint Productions (also New Zealand On Air – ‘Even If’). All Recorded, Mixed and Mastered in the beauty of their Home Space ‘The Hotbox Studios’.
