Written by on May 23, 2019

Our sister station Island Base 87.5FM Samoa in association with the Australian High Commission are proud to present: Downtoplease – DTP LIVE in beautiful Samoa for the very first time!

Friday the 28th of June at the breathtaking Taumeasina Island Resort, DTP will be joined on the night by a selection of Base FM DJs from Aotearoa as well as Island Base Drive host Benjamin Petana, in a night you surely don’t want to miss.

This power vocal group of four combined in 2010, formally solo artists TeeJ, Deebo, Abel and Peter collaborated their individual styles to create their own blend of soulful R&B music. DTP released their first hit “No More Carol’s” online in 2013

Representing multiple pacific nations and signed and mentored by international superstar ‘Savage’, DTP has collaborated with Base FM favourite Poetik and are showing no signs of slowing down. DTP have opened for artists such as Che Fu, BET award winning group Next, Decepticons, Adeaze and American artist Pleasure P.

Its the creative writing skills, and gospel vocals that give homage to their Polynesian and Maori upbringing. Listeners will recognise their lyrical expressions throughout all their music; relating to their struggle, hardship and love throughout their lives in a number of the songs.

Extra special thanks to the Australian High Commission & Taumeasina Island Resort.

PRE-SALE tickets are $25 Tala from Island Base FM and Taumeasina Island Resort or $35 Tala on the door.
