About Base FM

From 7:00 in the morning til midnight, there are 56 shows on Base FM featuring over 70 DJs, musicians, MCs & producers 7 days a week in 2-hour slots. Base DJs have full control over their track selections and genres they are playing – whatever they can find in their crates and feel like playing, really.

Generally though, you can expect an eclectic mix of hip hop & soul, reggae, a bit of funk, jazz, drum´n bass & dubstep.

You can contact the DJs live in the studio – simply send a text message to 379 (20 cent only) or email studio@basefm.co.nz to give them some feedback, win prizes, request a track or just say `what up´, so they feel loved.

You might have already seen & heard some of the Base DJs play around town doing their own gigs or supporting internationals – if not, shame on you! You better get out there and check out real music – or just stay tuned to Base FM. Sorted.
