Call out to our future creatives!

Base FM is ‘hands-on’ again as we are opening up our doors for young people. The idea is to pair up a young creative each with a Base FM DJ or artist and tap into the radio station by using it as a safe space and platform for our tamariki to connect with creative leaders, learn and create.
Our aim is to strengthen communities using music and fun to actively participate in the arts and connect with different demographics and celebrate diversity.
We started the programme last month in June with our first young creative Sylas and teamed him up with the Friday drive crew ‘The Sunshine Sound System’. We’ve got a few spaces left so if you know a young person that needs a creative outlet, get in touch with us to find out more. It’s a FREE programme lasting 1 month for just 2 hours a week.
