Our good friends Loop Recordings Aot(ear)oa have been holding onto this gem of an EP for a wee while now, and BaseFM is proud to present this as the CD of the week. What we have here is a local trio of musicians who are pushing the NZ roots sound into a progressive, and quite refreshing direction. Vocalist/Guitarist Jade Pritchard is like a dubwise David Gilmour (Pink Floyd), his voice bears that remarkable polynesian flavour while his effect-laden guitar work conjures up waves of sound. The solid rhythm section of Pai (Bass) & Ben Trinick (Drums) easily bridge the gap between the rock & reggae, and Base listeners might recognise these 2 promising musicians from their other project....
