This trio of ladies keep breakfast host Chip Matthews on his toes each weekday morning, alternating days so to get things fresh & interesting. Each person brings their own personality & style to the station. A little bit more about the ladies of Base Breakfast (in order off appearance).

NEWS: Renee

Renee (Monday & Thursday)

Renee is a newbie to the music industry having just finished her certificate in DJing and Electronic Music Production at MAINZ. Originating from Whangarei she made the big shift to Auckland to study and get involved in music any which way she could and what better way than BaseFM. Her interests lie in music (of course) fashion and dance. Find a girl in a club that’s playing sweet tunes wearing an eye-catching outfit that is tearin’ up the d-floor and you’ve found her. Other than that you can catch her reading the news Monday and Thursday mornings alongside Dyl.C and Chip Matthews.

Beka

Rebekah (Tuesday & Wednesday)

Rebekah first discovered Base FM online when she was living in The Philippines and feeling like she needed a taste of home. She would often crawl home at 4am and hold a bit of an afterparty while streaming the Base breakfast show live. Rebekah now writes and reads the news for the Tuesday and Wednesday breakfast shows as well as bringing you a gig guide. When she's not doing the news she's writing for her blog tinythrills.blogspot.com, writing for the Base website and bringing up Base FM's biggest little fan.

KahuKahu (Friday)

Kahurangi Carter has considered herself a Basehead since she was a young buck still stomping around Auckland Uni and is not embarrassed to admit she was a total Base FM DJ stalker in her younger years. Now of course older and a far more mature, married mother of two she feels pretty special to be considered part of the Base Fm whanau.  You can catch Kahu on the Friday Morning Breakfast Show bringing you the news according to her and on the occasional promo. She’s a pretty friendly lady who prides herself on being surrounded by the stunning wahine of Aotearoa, including our other Base News ladies and the Queen Bee Jazz herself.
